Essential Functions Job duties include, although are not limited to:
- Train, supervise, counsel and discipline recreation job positions including Welcome Center Hosts, Pool Valets, Lifeguards, and Locker Room Attendants for the safe and efficient operation of the Harborside Pool Club.
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as special events, VIP reservations, and trainings. Direct staff in their daily duties and work assignments.
- Responsible for ensuring that the department complies with sanitation and safety standards for Guests and employees.
Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in working order. Visually inspects and takes corrective action to ensure that facilities at the Pool Club look appealing and attractive to guests. Provides guidance for improvement and implements necessary adjustments. Oversees work orders to ensure repairs and maintenance of facility are completed on a timely basis.
- Manages and monitors quality of service and guest satisfaction in restaurant.
Responsible for ensuring that service quality is consistent, and appealing. Moves throughout facility and areas to visually monitor and take corrective action to ensure service standards are met. Verifies cabana and lounge reservations, linen par levels associate attendance and accountability, Ensures the pool furniture is organized, neat and clean. Provides guidance for improvement and implements necessary adjustments. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service. Investigates and resolves guest complaints in a timely manner.
- Documents linen inventory and monitors operating supplies so that pools are stocked with linen and other items necessary to provide appropriate customer service. Oversees cabana, lounge, and locker room cleanliness.
- Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of guest and member's experience at the Harborside Pool Club; recommend new marketing and/or operational policies and procedures when necessary to keep up with demand. Investigate and resolve service complaints. Interact positively with customers.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all The Boca Raton Hotels policies and procedures that relate to Harborside Pools Club as well as all local, state and federal laws and regulations; responsible for ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation of all work and service areas.

Supportive Functions In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the Director or Manager based upon the requirements of the company. Attend mandatory meetings including divisional meetings, department meetings, staff meetings, etc. This position may participate in the hotel's manager on duty program, which may require occasional weekend stayovers and full responsibility for the hotel. Utilize traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express. Properly execute end of day revenue closeouts including all reports. Requisition supplies to have an adequate supply on hand for the following shifts. Participate in inventory procedures. Open and close shifts in accordance with instructions. Handle associate relations on each shift worked, finding solutions for call offs, tardiness and last-minute daily problems. Ensure all employees are following the correct break procedure. Communication through daily logbook. In emergencies, perform in the capacity of any position supervised. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. - Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.

- High School graduate or equivalent required. Four-year college degree preferred.
- At least one year experience in related field preferred.
- Food Service Sanitation certification. Alcohol Service permit (if state required). CPR certification preferred.
