Pool Guard I (Part Time) City of Miami Beach, FL - 4.2 Miami, FL Job Details Part-time $24.85 - $37.06 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Lifeguard Training Phone communication Professional ethics Medical emergency response Swimming First Aid Certification Lifeguard Certification Swimming rescues First aid and CPR Full Job Description Nature of Work This is general lifesaving work involving the preservation of safety and order at a municipal swimming pool. Illustrative Examples of Essential Duties Watches children and adult swimmers and performs rescue, artificial respiration, and first aid when necessary. Warns bathers against dangerous practices and keeps non-swimmers out of deep water. Gives swimming instructions to children and adults. Enforces rules and regulations regarding pool and locker room use in a tactful manner and otherwise maintains order in the pool area. Keeps locker room and swimming areas clean and sanitary. Assists with routine maintenance work. Supervises all pool patrons including groups brought to the pool by school teachers or other Recreation Department personnel. Performs related work as required. Minimum Requirements Current Certification in American Heart C.P.R. or American Red Cross Community First Aide & Safety (includes CPR). Current Certification in American Red Cross Standard First Aid. Current Certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Maintain Certification as required by the Division. Ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.
