Summary:
This position requires responsibility for the health, welfare and safety of patients, members and staff using the swimming pools during aquatic therapy and aquatic fitness classes. Responsible to observe pool users, enforce regulations, guard lives and prevent accidents. May be required to clean pools and pool area, monitor pool chemicals and work with pool chemicals.
Education Requirements:
Evidence of being able to work as a member of a team, under close supervision and follow instructions needed, and completion of on the job training required. High school diploma is preferred. Current certification through Red Cross Lifeguard Training and current first aid and basic life support skills. Must possess knowledge of water hazards, lifesaving techniques, ability to recognize hazardous situations and ability to positively communicate and engage positively with the public.
