In this role, you will ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all visitors by actively monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety protocols, and providing exceptional guest service. Your expertise in water safety and emergency response will help create a secure space where guests can relax, have fun, and make lasting memories. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a vibrant community setting while promoting health and safety. Duties Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using water rescue techniques and first aid protocols Enforce facility rules and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for swimmers of all ages Conduct routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment checks to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards Provide water safety instruction and educational guidance to guests, especially children and novice swimmers Respond promptly to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or injuries by administering
CPR, AED
operation, and first aid as needed Assist with guest services by answering questions, providing directions, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors Perform regular inspections of the aquatic facility's safety equipment, fencing, and pool area to uphold public safety procedures Requirements Valid certification as a Lifeguard from an accredited organization, including current CPR/AED certification and First Aid training Proven lifeguard experience in a busy aquatic environment with strong water rescue response skills Knowledge of water safety instruction, public safety procedures, and emergency medical response protocols Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool maintenance or equipment handling Experience working with children or diverse guest populations is highly desirable Strong communication skills combined with a proactive approach to guest service and safety enforcement Physical stamina to stand, walk, swim, and perform rescues for extended periods We are looking to hire for weekday daytime shifts.
Pay:
From $11.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
