Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Lifeguard and become a vital part of ensuring a safe, enjoyable aquatic environment for all visitors. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, providing first aid when necessary, and delivering exceptional guest services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors during peak summer months, promoting water safety and creating positive experiences for guests of all ages. Your proactive approach and commitment to public safety will help foster a secure and fun atmosphere at our aquatic facility. Responsibilities Vigilantly monitor pool areas to ensure water safety and enforce facility rules Respond swiftly and effectively to water emergencies, including water rescues and medical incidents Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and maintaining water clarity Provide first aid, CPR, AED operation, and basic life support in emergency situations Assist guests with pool access, provide water safety instruction, and address guest inquiries with professionalism Conduct regular safety inspections of the aquatic facility to identify hazards or maintenance needs Support pool cleaning efforts and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility Qualifications Valid lifeguard certification with current CPR/AED and first aid training from a recognized organization Prior experience working as a lifeguard or in aquatic safety roles is preferred Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently Knowledge of water safety protocols, public safety procedures, and emergency response techniques including cardiac arrest response Experience working with children and providing water safety instruction is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting related to pool maintenance equipment and supplies Familiarity with pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters and maintaining water quality standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about safety, customer service, and aquatic environments.
