Bridgewater, NJ Job Details Part-time $20 - $30 an hour 8 days ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer communication Lifeguard Training Swimming Teaching AED Certification Full Job Description The Bridgewater JCC is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced Private Swim Lesson Instructors to join our aquatics team for the Fall session (September 14th through December 17th 2026) As a Private Swim Lesson Instructor, you will provide one on one swim instruction to children and adults of all skill levels, helping participants build water safety skills, confidence, and proper swimming techniques in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one swim instruction tailored to each participant's age, ability, and goals. Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. Communicate effectively with participants and parents regarding progress and lesson objectives. Maintain a high standard of safety in and around the pool.

Qualifications:

Previous swim instruction or competitive swimming experience required (American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, etc) Ability to work independently with both children and adults. Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred. Strong communication, patience, and customer service skills. Current CPR/AED and Lifeguard certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain, if required).

Availability Requirements:

Candidates must be available to teach during one or more of the following times: Weekday afternoons and evenings (Monday through Thursday 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM) Weekends (Saturday or Sunday 9:00-4:00pm) Pay scale: $20.00-$30.00 an hour depending on experience To apply please email Stephanie Johnson-Director of Aquatics, Sports and Recreation at .
