Job Description

Position Summary The Pool Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all poolside dining and beverage service operations. This role ensures that members and guests receive attentive, efficient, and high-quality service in a relaxed outdoor setting, consistent with private club standards. The supervisor bridges aquatics and food & beverage operations, maintaining service excellence, staff accountability, and a safe, well-organized pool environment. Key Responsibilities Poolside Service Operations Oversee all food and beverage service at the pool, including deck service, snack bar, and/or bar operations Ensure proper setup and breakdown of service areas, including stations, POS systems, and service equipment Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of all dining and service areas in accordance with health department standards Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food delivery Staff Leadership & Development Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise pool servers, bartenders, and support staff Enforce service standards, uniform guidelines, and professional appearance Lead daily pre-shift meetings to review menu items, service expectations, and club events Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary Member Experience & Service Standards Deliver a high-touch, hospitality-driven experience tailored to a private club environment Engage with members to anticipate needs, manage preferences, and ensure satisfaction Handle member concerns and service recovery situations with professionalism and urgency Uphold and enforce club policies, etiquette, and poolside service protocols Beverage & Bar Oversight Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with state laws and club policies Monitor bar setup, inventory levels, and product quality Safety & Compliance Partner with aquatics team to ensure a safe environment for members and staff Enforce safety standards related to glassware, alcohol consumption, and food handling at the pool Respond appropriately to incidents and document as required Financial & Administrative Duties Monitor daily sales, labor costs, and productivity at the pool outlet Ensure accurate POS usage, and end-of-day reporting Programming & Events Work alongside the Events Coordinator and assist in executing poolside events, themed dining experiences, and high-volume service days Collaborate with club leadership on promotions and member engagement initiatives Qualifications 2+ years of supervisory experience in food & beverage, preferably in a club, resort, or hospitality setting Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and sequence of service Experience managing high-volume, outdoor, or seasonal operations preferred Alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) and food safety certification required or obtainable Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and peak summer season Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in outdoor conditions Lift and carry up to 30 lbs Ability to work in heat, humidity, and a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay rate (commensurate with experience) Uniforms and meals provided during shifts Opportunities for advancement within Food & Beverage operations
