We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of all campers and staff at our aquatic facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills, a commitment to maintaining a safe environment, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in monitoring pool activities and enforcing safety regulations. You will also be responsible for morning swim instruction classes. Afternoon swim is "free" swim where guards engage with campers in the pool or they are rotating on chair. •The pool is a large OUTDOOR pool and lifeguards are expected to enter the water each day during Swim Instruction. Responsibilities Instruct swim classes each day with direction by the Aquatics Director. Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all swimmers and guests. Respond promptly to emergencies and administer first aid or CPR as needed. Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance. Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe swimming environment. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to pool supplies as required. Qualifications Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognized organization. Proficient swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues if necessary. Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR techniques. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all campers and staff.
