Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Lifeguard for the Rutgers Recreation department. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Ensures the safety of all participants who use the pool. Maintains the cleanliness and good condition of the pool complex. Completes daily administrative tasks and provide information to patrons.

FLSA:

Position Status:

Temporary Staff Appointment - Hourly Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Certifications/Licenses American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. CPR for the Professional Rescuer and first-aid certification. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be in good physical condition and maintain professional work-related practices: safety, alertness, responsibility, initiative, courtesy, good judgment, cleanliness, and the ability to work with all ages. Must be able to pass all aspects of the initial skills test prior to employment and the subsequent in-service testing program.
