What you'll do Monitor the pool area and enforce safety rules with a friendly, professional approach Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, administering first aid/CPR when needed Conduct regular checks of water quality, equipment, and pool conditions Keep the pool deck tidy — towels, loungers, umbrellas, and general upkeep Communicate with guests about pool hours, rules, and amenities Report maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly What you'll bring Current lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent), including CPR/AED and First Aid Strong swimming ability and full attention during long stretches of observation Reliability — guests' safety depends on you showing up on time, every time Weekend and holiday availability during the season Must be 16+ (per NY State requirements)
