Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant aquatic team as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, where your energy and dedication will ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for all guests. In this dynamic role, you'll combine vigilant supervision with engaging swim instruction, fostering confidence and safety in the water. Your proactive approach will help create memorable experiences while maintaining the highest standards of pool safety and cleanliness. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in lifeguarding, guest services, and aquatic education. Duties Monitor pool areas continuously to ensure guest safety and enforce facility rules with a lively, positive attitude Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies using CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid techniques, providing immediate assistance when needed Conduct routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, skimming, and chemical testing to uphold water quality standards Provide engaging swim lessons tailored to different skill levels, encouraging progress and confidence in swimmers of all ages Assist with pool cleaning and maintenance duties including equipment checks and minor repairs to ensure a pristine environment Offer exceptional guest services by answering questions, providing directions, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors Perform regular safety inspections, fence checks, and emergency preparedness drills to maintain a secure aquatic environment Experience Prior lifeguard experience or certification is preferred; however, training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn Demonstrated swimming proficiency with the ability to perform rescue techniques confidently Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and pool cleaning is advantageous Ability to lift heavy equipment or supplies safely as part of routine pool upkeep Strong communication skills to effectively instruct guests and coordinate with team members Certification in CPR and first aid from an accredited organization is required or obtainable upon hire Physical stamina to stand, walk, or perform rescue activities for extended periods Embark on a rewarding journey where safety meets fun! $22.74 - $27.38 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
