PART TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
Less than 29 hours/week Free Membership to the YMCA Discounted Y Programs The Manager on Duty is responsible for the smooth operation of membership services, program participation, building maintenance and staffing during the scheduled shift. Coaches and mentors frontline staff, builds member relationships and is a working problem solver throughout the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 18; required. High School diploma or equivalent. Supervisory experience preferred. CPR/First Aid/AED Certification within 30 days of hire. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follow opening and closing procedures of the building. Report, respond and document incidents in relation to the safety and operation of the facility. Responsible for the implementation of the Association's Emergency Management Procedures. Familiarity with memberships and programs offered by the Butler YMCA; knowledge of the operations policies and procedures. Provide facility tours. Support the membership and program staff in addressing any member/participant questions or concerns. Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants; contribute to member retention and recruitment. Ensure communication across shifts. Frequent inspection of department equipment and facilities; make rounds of the facility every 30 minutes. Perform general maintenance and custodial functions. Ensure program areas are setup in accordance to facility schedules; knowledge and application of equipment set-up/take down procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
