CPR Full Job Description Description:
Gateway Rehab Centers has a wonderful opportunity for a Part-time Corrections Monitor located in Erie, PA. As a Monitor, you will provide custody and control functions for patients enrolled at the center. You will be required to have CPR and First Aid training. You must pass PA Department of Corrections Clean Check. Must have a valid drivers' license and favorable driving record. This position requires mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients.
Responsibilities:
Monitors patient movement into and out of the facility. Maintains daily logs. Maintains knowledge of all facility rules, regulations, and policies. Conducts intakes and participates in the orientation of new patients. Conducts patient drug screening. Makes telephone contact with employers to verify patient movement. Makes telephone contact with families/friends of patients granted furloughs. Conducts random room searches. Transports patients as needed. Dispenses authorized prescription medications to patients.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong communication and organization skills.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Additional Requirements Pass PA Criminal Background Check Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Clearances Pass Drug TB Test Valid driver's license with favorable driving record. CPR certification. Flexibility regarding work schedule. Work Conditions Corrections facility environment Various shifts Required to remain awake and alert while on duty.
