Job Description

Seasonal Concession Stand Attendant - Graham Aquatic Center (2026) Join our team this summer at the Graham Aquatic Center! We're hiring Seasonal Concession Stand Attendants to provide friendly customer service, prepare and serve food and beverages, and help create a fun and enjoyable experience for guests at our outdoor pool. Schedule Open seven days a week 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM We're looking for individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work well as part of a team. Responsibilities include taking orders, handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards, and providing excellent service to pool guests throughout the day. This is a great opportunity to spend the summer in an energetic outdoor setting while building customer service and teamwork skills.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Lifeguard at the YMCA creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining the safety of all aquatic facility users in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains active surveillance of the pool area while remaining on deck at all times, never leaving the pool unattended, and responds to any emergency that occurs Remain rescue ready while on the pool desk, including proper attire Follows proper protocol for transitioning with other lifeguards for reporting on duty and off duty as per scheduled shifts. Enforces all pool rules in a consistent and friendly manner, and remains calm and objective when under pressure or when challenged by others Organizes equipment and keeps pool area neat Informs members about lap patterns and areas of activity while responding to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner Keep a friendly and warm atmosphere for all members and guests, but remember the primary responsibility and continue to supervise all areas Follow the proper opening and closing procedures Maintains accurate records as required by the YMCA (i.e. chemical readings) Attends monthly staff meetings and trainings

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 15
Certifications:
American Red Cross Lifeguard Obtain a state police clearance, a child abuse clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance Obtain Mandated Reporter Clearance
