Job Description

YMCA Camp Greenville is seeking a cause-driven leader to fulfill the role of Waterfront Coordinator. This person will serve as the leader of our waterfront and all activities there, accept the ownership of running a waterfront efficiently, and guide our team of lifeguards in facilitating a safe and fun environment. The Waterfront Coordinator will live in shared staff housing. Training starts May 27th, and our season ends August 1st. Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining safety of campers and staff while at the waterfront Follow all operation procedures and standards given Plan, direct, and supervise a safe and fun waterfront program Train staff, maintain equipment and manage supervision and safety. Coordinates bi-weekly in-service for lifeguards and key staff as well as camper waterfront check in. Support cabin leader staff when not in program area and fill in for cabin leaders at times. Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds. Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind at all times. Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp Must approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner Qualifications At least 20 years old by June 2026. Currently Lifeguard Certified or held a certification within the last 2 years and willing to recertify. CPR/First Aid Certified a part of the lifeguard certification. Experience managing lifeguards in a waterfront setting preferred
