Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in aquatic activities. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating individuals of all ages in swimming techniques, ensuring safety in the water, and fostering a positive learning environment. Your role will contribute significantly to the development of swimming skills and water safety awareness among participants. Duties Conduct swim lessons for individuals or groups of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. Develop personalized lesson plans that cater to the specific needs and goals of each student. Educate participants on water safety practices and proper swimming techniques. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain a safe and clean swimming environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize swim events, competitions, or community outreach programs. Engage with parents or guardians to discuss their child's progress and address any concerns related to lessons. Must be able to work at least one weekend shift either Saturday and/or Sunday Skills Strong background in sports coaching or physical education, with experience in disciplines such as karate, martial arts, judo, cheerleading, basketball, or gym activities being advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate students of all ages. Ability to demonstrate swimming techniques clearly and confidently in the water. Lifeguard certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and their families while fostering a supportive learning atmosphere.
