In this dynamic role, you'll be the guardian of safety, ensuring that every guest enjoys their time in the water with confidence. Whether you're monitoring pool activity or teaching essential swimming skills, your proactive approach will inspire confidence and promote a love for swimming. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact on our community. Duties Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established safety protocols Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment for all patrons Conduct swim lessons for participants of various ages and skill levels, demonstrating proper techniques and encouraging progress Provide clear, engaging instruction to help swimmers build confidence and improve their skills Perform routine safety checks of equipment and pool facilities to ensure optimal condition and compliance with health standards Respond promptly to emergencies, administering first aid or CPR as needed, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary Maintain accurate records of attendance, lessons, safety incidents, and equipment inspections Experience Previous experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates Certification in lifeguarding, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and first aid from an accredited organization is required upon hiring or during onboarding Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues confidently in various water conditions Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct swimmers and enforce safety rules Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond decisively in emergency situations Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for promoting water safety and fostering a positive learning environment Join us in creating a safe, fun-filled aquatic experience!
