M-F, Morning afternoon and evenings shifts. Sat-Sun, afternoon/evening shifts available

Pay Rate:
$11 - 13.00/hr
Job Description:
A lifeguard in Aquatics will protect patrons and enforce rules for patron safety and they will maintain clean facilities with housekeeping duties. Lifeguards will also stay in good physical health through exercise and bi-weekly training. Certification required, Red Cross, Bot Scouts, NASCO, Star Guard are accepted. Training available.
Job functions:
  • Lifeguarding
  • Proper scanning of the pool
  • First Aid assistance
  • Water rescues
  • Rules enforcement
  • Customer Service
  • In-Service training
  • Attend mandatory training sessions to learn new skills, sharpen old skills, and to build teamwork with coworkers
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping
  • Scrubbing the tiles
  • Cleaning the pool deck
  • Raking the sand volleyball courts
  • Locker room safety check
  • Facility safety
  • Chemical level checks
  • Encourage the Baylor Community to live active and healthy lives
  • Assist in assigned area of responsibility
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors
  • Participate in various activities and tasks related to health and recreation
  • Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
