Your day as a Lifeguard As a Seasonal Lifeguard at SwimRVA North, your role is all about ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone! You'll be the vigilant guardian of our patrons, guests, and fellow employees, safeguarding their experience throughout the facility. In addition to monitoring the water, you'll pitch in to maintain facility cleanliness, keeping our aquatic haven pristine and inviting. Your responsibilities won't stop there! You'll also play a crucial part in the general operations of our facility, contributing your skills to assist with the setup and load out of world-class events that will leave a lasting impression on our community. To thrive as a Seasonal Lifeguard at SwimRVA-North, you'll need a mix of enthusiasm and essential skills! A positive attitude and strong work ethic are key, as you'll be the face of safety and fun for our guests. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, and having a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification is preferred-if you don't have it yet, we're more than happy to help you obtain it through the SwimRVA Safety School! You'll be working outdoors at our SwimRVA North location, so being comfortable in the sun and having a zest for summer activities is a must. Plus, your commitment to working from mid-April through the end of September is crucial.
