Job Description:
Job Description Looking for a GREAT summer job at the Weinstien Rec Center? We are hiring for Lifeguards! Responsible for the supervision and operations of the pool and pool area during operating hours. The lifeguard will ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pool area
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
: Open the facility and greet patrons upon their arrival, including notifying the on-duty Facility Manager to unlock the pool. Enforce facility rules and regulations regarding the safe and proper use of the pool, deck and diving boards. Oversee activities in and around the pool at all times. Serve as a first responder in the event of an emergency. Complete facility participation reports. Secure the facility upon closing, to include notifying the on-duty Facility Manager to lock the pool. Administer facility evaluations. Attend and participate in departmental employee training programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT
: Requires employees to work indoors with the possibility of heavy lifting in the event of an emergency
QUALIFICATIONS
: Knowledge, skills & ability : Current Lifeguard/First Aid certification Current CPR/AED certification Education & experienc e : Some High School Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred Hourly rate: $15.00 per hour Scheduled hours: schedule may vary, 10 hours per week
