Ensures all swimmers in the wer area accounted for all times. Enforces established policy and procedures specifically, swimming rules and regulions, informs prons not obeying pool rules or regulions to leave the pool areas and notifies security if necessary. Conducts the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. Conducts swim qualificion tests for prons as approprie. Ensures customer's needs are being sisfied, aiming to provide excellent customer service by promoting and exhibiting Assists and ensures efficient business operions in accordance with established regulions, procedures and work plan. Assists with facility maintenance to include conducting inspections of the pool and surrounding area to ensure cleanliness meets sanition standards. Performs necessary housekeeping tasks in order to maintain pool and facility cleanliness. Oversees the completion of the weekly pool cleaning and maintenance logs and tracks progress Coordines and oversees the execution of planned recreional programs, wer aerobics, and specialty programs. Distributes and balance the workload among 3 or more employees, assuring timely accomplishment of assigned work. Provides on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must be least 18 years old Work may include extended hours of sitting and standing and prolonged hours in the pool during swim lessons or other activities Work involves frequent lifting or pulling of pool equipment, cleaning supplies, and program participants Applicant must be able to complete 250 yard swim in less than five minutes and regularly demonstre the ability to rescue victims of various sizes Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds This position is subject to background check accordance with federal regulions Qualificions Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Incumbent must be least 18 years of age. Must have a minimum of three (3) Years' experience as a Wer safety Instructor. Must hold current certificion in the following: Lifeguard training or equivalent, Wer Safety Instruction, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid, the Aquic Facilitor Operors Certificion or equivalent. Must possess or obtain aforementioned certifices within 12 months of appointment. Must possess or obtain within one year, the Aquic Facilitor Operors Certifice or equivalent Must be knowledgeable of emergency wer safety procedures, policies, written instructions. Must possess or be able to obtain instructor certificion to facilite lifeguard and workplace (CPR/Basic First Aid) training within a year of appointment. Effectively meet and deal courteously with the public, present a ne, clean appearance and be able to exercise control over a group of people. Successful completion of a Nional Agency (NACI) background check required as condition of employment. Possess basic keyboarding skills with the ability to adapt easily to workplace software programs Educion A minimum of high-school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
