The City provides full-city services including Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMS), Engineering, Public Works, Water and Sewer utilities, Building Inspections, Community Development, Parks and Recreation, Marina, Senior Center, Library, Finance, Clerk and Administration. Lifeguards ensure the safety of our aquatic customers by scanning the pool, preventing accidents, enforcing the rules and appropriately responding to emergency situations. All employees must attend preseason and in-service training sessions. Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s). The minimum age for Lifeguards is 15 years old. Current Certification in American Red Cross is required in order to work as a lifeguard. The ideal candidate will be mature, responsible, and have a great attitude. The candidate should enjoy working with people and have the ability to effectively communicate with children and adults. Must enjoy working outside. Training and certification is available for eligible candidates.
