Job Description
The opportunity Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Housepersons to join our lodging team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Hotel Houseperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning of hotel public areas, rooms, and restrooms in accordance with operating standards. What will you do? Notify managers if major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors and steam clean carpets Remove dirty linens and transport clean linens to housekeeping carts and storage closets More about you A minimum of 1 year of working in the hospitality industry preferred High school diploma or GED preferred Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations Must be at least 21 years or older Physical requirements Frequent walking, standing, and kneeling for the entire length of the shift Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete washing duties Able to lift to 50 pounds Visual acuity is sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces Working conditions include being regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals Shift details Days Evenings as needed Weekends Holidays 8hr shift
