Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, order, and overall appearance of our facilities. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the hospitality or industrial sectors with essential custodial and cleaning services. The Houseman will ensure that all areas are kept in pristine condition, contributing to a positive experience for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties across various areas, including guest rooms, hallways, and public spaces Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness Assist with janitorial tasks, including trash removal, restocking supplies, and detailed cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens Support housekeeping management by ensuring proper storage and handling of cleaning equipment and supplies Maintain safety standards during cleaning procedures and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Follow established protocols for industrial cleaning when necessary, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Contribute to a welcoming environment by ensuring all areas are tidy, organized, and presentable at all times Experience Prior experience in hospitality or custodial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Experience with cleaning techniques such as floor care, carpet extraction, and general janitorial tasks is advantageous Background in hotel housekeeping management or industrial cleaning can be beneficial for understanding the scope of responsibilities Candidates with janitorial or custodial experience from commercial or institutional settings are encouraged to apply A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential qualities for success in this role
