Guest Room Attendant-Estrella
Department:
Housekeeping Operations Job Summary:
Cleans guest rooms and suites in a timely and thorough manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to): Prepares rooms for guest arrival and responds to guest requests.
Stocks room attendant's cart.
Strips and remakes beds with fresh linen.
Vacuums and sweeps carpets and floors.
Mops floors.
Dusts and cleans room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces.
Cleans showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items.
Wipes mirrors and all vanity fixtures.
Removes used guest amenities and trash.
Replenishes guest amenities and supplies.
Inspects rooms.
Reports lost and takes found articles to appropriate personnel.
Reports maintenance problems to appropriate personnel.
Maintains storage rooms and stocking carts.
Records room status on work assignment sheets.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards.
Skill in using cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards.
Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions thoroughly. Ability to identify and correct unsafe practices and conditions.
Ability to understand and follow procedures to handle and store chemicals properly as well as maintain log of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to stand 100% of the time, bend from the waist, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
Must be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid non-gaming license.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year Guest Room Attendant experience.
