Job Summary:
The housekeeping lead will oversee housekeepers, laundry attendants, and housepersons and their daily, weekly, and monthly job activities and functions.
Lead Responsibilities:
- Oversee housekeeping associates and their assigned duties.
- Create daily board chart for checking rooms
- Create boards for housekeepers through FOSSE
- Distribute keys at the beginning of each day to all housekeeping associates and collects them at the end of each day
- Keeps a record of key use via the key log
- Lead morning huddle meetings for housekeeping department and have all associates sign off on in-services daily
- Lead morning exercises for housekeeping department daily
- Take inventory of all housekeeping supplies, linens, and amenities and keep a record of them in the Sortly app
- Fills out Room Inspection Checklists daily
- Inspect rooms once they have been cleaned for Marriott standards
- Enter in cleaned rooms into FOSSE to be sold
- Close out the daily report at the end of each day
- Update the list of daily departures
- Communicates with Guest Services on Teams and fulfills guest requests
- Places event giveaways in correct rooms for Sales
- Enters in all maintenance and guest needs into GXP
- Write Standard Operating Procedures for housekeeping department
- Ensures room meets hotel standards with a final walkaround.
- Notifies maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
- Takes found items to designated lost and found area if the guest has checked out.
- Contacts guest for found lost and found items
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
- Ability to use a computer and use both Google Drive and Microsoft Suite applications
Education and Experience:
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Ability to read, write/type, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
- Ability to communicate via text message or phone
- Ability to use phone applications to perform daily lead responsibilities
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
