Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Housekeeper/Laundry to join our team. As a Housekeeper/Laundry, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in our assisted living community, as well as handling laundry duties. If you have a strong work ethic and enjoy providing exceptional service, we would love to hear from you.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school education. Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum two years' experience in either housekeeping or janitorial services. Have references and demonstrate experience. Must be self-motivated, organized, thorough, and able to follow instructions. Must be able to deal with emergencies, be flexible and cooperative in working with the elderly.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain residents rooms, ensuring they are tidy and presentable
• Change bed linens and towels
• Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop floors
• Dust furniture and fixtures
• Empty trash containers and replace liners
• Replenish amenities such as toiletries and towels
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department
• Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens
• Sort and organize laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care instructions
• Operate laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an assisted living or similar setting is preferred
• Knowledge of laundering techniques and best practices
• Familiarity with different types of fabrics and their care requirements
• Ability to operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and irons
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads.
