Job Overview Looking For A Dependable Housekeeper For Berkeley Studio Looking for someone to help with cleaning (floor sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, dish washing, laundry, etc.) and cooking. Hours would vary. Likely less than 8 hours every week in home, then an additional 1-3 hours every other week doing laundry at a laundromat. Only available Tuesday and Friday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday anytime Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization to uphold cleanliness standards. Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and cleaning equipment to ensure health and safety compliance. Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items. Handle heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture or equipment safely during deep cleaning or moving tasks. Maintain floor care by performing carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and regular floor maintenance routines. Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is highly desirable. Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning methods, and sanitation procedures. Familiarity with cleaning detergents, cleaning equipment, and proper handling of cleaning supplies. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
