Part-Time Housekeeper Whitney Oaks Care Center Rocklin, CA Pay:
$17.50 - $19.00 per hour Whitney Oaks Care Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and public spaces. This role helps ensure a comfortable and healthy living environment while supporting the overall well-being of our residents. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and maintain common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors. Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms according to facility standards. Dust and wipe down handrails, walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility. Follow all housekeeping and safety procedures, including proper chemical storage and use of caution signage. Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies according to manufacturer guidelines. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas. Report resident safety concerns promptly to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing. Monitor housekeeping supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed. Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, guests, and coworkers. Manage time effectively and complete assignments efficiently. Work independently and collaboratively to maintain facility standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care setting is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and understand procedure manuals, instructions, and safety guidelines. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing situations. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Ability to use housekeeping equipment and cleaning products throughout the shift. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond promptly to facility needs.
