Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including floors, bathrooms, linens, and furniture, using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Inspect rooms post-cleaning to ensure all standards are met or exceeded, documenting any maintenance or safety issues. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Perform floor care tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning to maintain a spotless environment. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to moving furniture or large cleaning equipment. Maintain cleanliness in public areas by performing janitorial duties such as trash removal, floor cleaning, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or industrial cleaning environments is preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment is essential. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and stand for extended periods during shifts. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is advantageous. Previous janitorial or hospitality experience will help you excel in this role but is not mandatory; training will be provided.
