Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, hallways, bathrooms, and kitchen spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle laundry services efficiently, ensuring linens and clothing are cleaned, folded, and stored properly Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas in accordance with infection control protocols Conduct window cleaning, floor care including sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing as needed to uphold a pristine environment Safely operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor buffers, and pressure washers while adhering to safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment (PPE) Manage custodial supplies inventory and ensure proper chemical handling procedures are followed for safety and compliance Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment during cleaning routines or facility maintenance Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare settings is preferred Familiarity with infection control practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable Experience operating cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor buffers, or window cleaning tools is advantageous Ability to handle chemicals safely following proper protocols for chemical handling and PPE use Strong customer service skills to interact positively with residents, staff, and visitors Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking This role offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive team environment.
