Position Details Job Title Housekeeper Job Type PT Location Housekeeping Salary 19.28 - $27.50 per hour Job Description Performs routine cleaning of patient and resident rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. Must be flexible and willing to work various shifts and different areas as assigned. Roles & Responsibilities Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Utilities Department. Performs routine cleaning of patient and resident rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner. Washes windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge. Apply clean linen on disinfected patient bed. Reports any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to Lead Housekeeper. Completes work assignments in a timely manner. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Use and maintain equipment properly Maintains patient confidentiality. Assist visitors with directions whenever requested. Always introduces self to patients, families, and visitors. Reports safety hazards as appropriate. Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area. Replenishes supplies. Follows all infection control practices including handwashing techniques, standard precautions, and isolation precautions. Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties. Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision. Works day, evening, or night shifts, as assigned. Observes safety and security precautions at all times. Qualifications & Skills High school graduate or equivalent required. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to read, write and understand English and interface effectively and tactfully with staff and the general public.
