Housekeeping Room Attendant Inns of Monterey - 3.2 Monterey, CA Job Details Full-time $18.50 - $20.25 an hour 9 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications CPR Certification English Ability to follow instructions Hotel housekeeping Full Job Description Consistently meets or exceeds hotel standards for guest service and cleanliness by performing daily room housekeeping services. Complies with the Inns of Monterey (IOM) Mission and standards and philosophy in performing all key areas of accountability.
Key Areas of Accountability:
Provides guests with professional, efficient, prompt, and courteous service. Cleans and maintain all guestrooms to hotel standards. Cleans and maintains assigned hotel public areas to established standards. Meets established guidelines for work productivity within scheduled shift. Adheres to IOM Employee Manual and Housekeeping Department training guidelines. Is familiar with and routinely assists in housekeeping needs and guest requests at other IOM properties. Performs all duties in a safe manner as outlined in the codes of safe practice, and reports all accidents to supervisor immediately regardless of severity. Maintains safety and security of guests at all times. Adheres to key control policy and procedure according to set standards. Completes work assignment sheet on a daily basis. Maintains organization and supplies on housekeeper's cart. Adheres to established uniform and grooming policies. Turns in all lost and found items to Housekeeping Supervisor as soon as possible, always before end of shift. Maintains storage rooms in a clean and orderly fashion. Checks all rooms and report any damage, repair needs, or loss of supplies, equipment or linens to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Recycles newspapers, cans, plastic and glass bottles. Performs any other housekeeping task as assigned. Attends all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions. Assists in training new/ employees, as directed. Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
Six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer/Equipment Expertise:
Ability to operate commonly used cleaning equipment.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, speak and understand basic English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standard situations.
Certificates/Licenses/Registration:
CPR certification may be required
