Responsibilities Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a spotless environment. Perform detailed cleaning of bathrooms, including disinfecting sinks, toilets, showers, and fixtures with appropriate chemicals and equipment. Handle laundry services such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and towels efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of public areas like hallways, lobbies, elevators, and stairwells through sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and pressure washing when necessary. Use proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, pressure washers, and other janitorial tools. Follow infection control procedures diligently to prevent contamination and ensure sanitation standards are met across all areas. Manage chemical handling safely by understanding proper storage, usage instructions, and disposal methods. Assist with custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking amenities, and maintaining cleaning supply inventories. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times while delivering exceptional customer service to guests or staff. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; experience in commercial cleaning or hospitality environments is a plus. Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as window cleaning, floor care (buffing or stripping), and sanitation practices. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and the use of various cleaning equipment required for maintaining high standards of hygiene. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or performing repetitive motions over extended periods. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Commitment to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe working environment through proper PPE use.
