The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest rooms assigned and completing a daily checklist list along with the required allotment of rooms. Previous cleaning experience as well as the ability to communicate to guests preferred. This position is fast-paced, requires a considerable amount of walking, and the ability to lift, push and carry a moderate amount of weight. This position requires flexibility to work any shift, any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. The hourly rate for this position is $21.50 / hour.

Duties and responsibilities:

Clean guest rooms daily ensuring all areas are completed in the designated timeframe. Ensure that all guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Provide thoughtful touches to enhance the guest experience, such as arranging personal items, closing curtains, and placing bedside mats. Work closely with the housekeeping and front office teams to ensure guest preferences and special requests are met. This list is not all-encompassing and that daily work tasks may and can be altered to meet business needs. Qualifications Prior housekeeping experience is preferred for this position Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to read, understand, interpret and carry out directions and instructions Must be able to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds Work independently and make sound, responsible decisions May be working alone or as a team as needed Must be able to walk and stand at least 95% of the shift Must be able to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, and carry Must be able to use hands to grasp, hold and use for manual activities Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness. Must have good organization skills. Must be able to work independently with minimum or no supervision. Must be an excellent team player with a positive and helpful attitude.
