POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, in Red Bluff and Housekeeping / Transport Supervisor in Greenville. The housekeeper performs general cleaning of the Greenville Rancheria medical, dental, billing clinic and Tribal Building.
POSITION OUTLINE
Physical requirements: An eligible candidate must possess the ability: Be able to sustain prolonged standing, bending, stooping, reaching, sweeping, moping and lift 25- 50 pounds without pain. General Duties and Responsibilities:

Familiarization with computer systems such as Microsoft Outlook and NextGen. Must be able to use office equipment, including fax, multi-line telephone, scanner and copy machine. Agree to not disclose any trade secrets, directly or indirectly, or use them in any way either during the term of employment or at any time thereafter, except as required in the course of employment with the company. General qualifications:
An eligible candidate must possess (and/or maintain) the following: Must be over the age of 18 years. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or Tribal Council's discretion (revised 07/25/2014) If required to drive a Greenville Rancheria vehicle, must be over the age of twenty-one and possess a valid California driver's license and a DMV print out verifying a driving record. Refer to the transportation / vehicle policy and procedure manual authorization of personnel. Have one-year related experience and/ or training preferred. Reliable employment history and highly recommended. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check / fingerprinting in accordance with all applicable laws regarding the nature of the employment. Current certification, or ability to obtain certification in CPR. Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure and to keep records. Maintain a "Professional Image" in one's appearance and hygiene. Knowledge of use of toxic chemicals and infectious waste disposal preferred and familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Requires discretion, confidentiality, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature. Ability to get along with co-workers in a close environment.
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
The following position responsibilities are rated as part of the employee's competency-based performance appraisal. Within the parameters established by the Tribal Council, approved Greenville Rancheria Personnel Policies and Procedures.
Program Operational Duties:
Maintains a clean and safe patient environment maintains patient medical and dental waiting room and Tribal lobby. Utilizes proper technique in, but not limited to; cleaning patient exam rooms, laboratory, waiting room, hallways break room, nutrition room, gym, refrigerators, and bathrooms, etc. Implements proper safety standards for using toxic substances in the work place (MSDS). Collects and stores infectious waste in proper area according to safety standards. Washes, waxes, mops floors and carpets and needed or directed by Supervisor or ED. Washes, walls, ceilings, windows and needed or directed by Supervisor or ED. Checks for safety and any potential hazards and report to Supervisor or ED. Such as broken furniture, windows, equipment etc. Demonstrate a high level of emotional and mental tolerance when dealing with ill people. Uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude when relating to patients, families and co-workers. Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality under HIPAA laws and Greenville Rancherias clinic policy and procedures. Provides input and initiates and embraces changes that will continually improve the operation of the Greenville Rancheria and assist the Tribal Council and Tribal Membership growth, efficiency and prosperity. Able to understand, be sensitive to, communicate with and have knowledge and awareness of the culture of the Indian Community to be served. Other duties as assigned.
