Join Our Team - Houseman Holiday Inn Selma is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Houseman to join our Housekeeping team! Position Summary The Houseman plays a vital role in supporting both the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments by ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities are clean, organized, safe, and well-maintained. This position requires a team player who is dependable, efficient, and willing to assist wherever needed to provide an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities Assist Room Attendants by delivering clean linens, towels, and guest amenities throughout the hotel. Remove dirty linens, trash, and recyclables from guest floors and housekeeping areas. Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, elevators, stairwells, public restrooms, lobby, fitness center, meeting rooms, and other public spaces. Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize public areas throughout the property. Stock housekeeping closets and supply rooms throughout the day. Respond promptly to guest requests, including extra towels, blankets, pillows, cribs, and other amenities. Assist with moving furniture, mattresses, rollaway beds, and hotel equipment as needed. Support the Maintenance department with routine repairs, special projects, and daily operational tasks. Assist with completing Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks in guest rooms and throughout the property as assigned. Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel's exterior, parking lot, walkways, and grounds. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and lost and found items to management immediately. Help maintain organized housekeeping and maintenance storage areas. Support the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms are ready for arrivals on time. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous hotel, housekeeping, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of hand tools and minor maintenance repairs is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently push, pull, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
