Job Description

Join the team at The Myron Stratton Home! Housekeeping Aide for Assisted Living community needed for approximately 25 hours per week. Benefits offered!
Position Pay Range:
$18.84 - $19.43 per hour
Position Summary:
Provides housekeeping services to the residents, individual buildings and other campus areas. Follows routine cleaning, applicable printed schedule, task sheets, and work orders. May work solely or with another employee. Maintains work order forms, inventory and stocks supplies. Communicates needs to department peers and supervisor. Basic knowledge skills and high quality detailed services is expected to maintain a safe and clean environment at The Myron Stratton Home.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Essential Functions As assigned or scheduled additional duties and assistance to employees and departments. As assigned or scheduled additional duties or placement for coverage. As assigned or scheduled coverage for supervisor. To include office phone, supply order, schedule for cottages and centennial services. As assigned or scheduled watering of indoor and outdoor plants and/or greenery. As needed observes and reports any necessary repairs to fix. As needed or scheduled attends company in-services and staff meetings. As needed or scheduled cleaning of carpets/furniture with carpet shampoo machine. As needed or scheduled cleaning of interior and exterior of fridges, microwaves and ovens. As needed or scheduled cleaning of interior and exterior of windows, screens and sills. As needed or scheduled cleaning/sanitation of baseboards and walls. As needed or scheduled cleaning/sanitation of bed frames, cabinets and doors. As needed or scheduled cleaning/sanitation of items and/or areas as needed. As needed or scheduled communicates supply or equipment needs. As needed or scheduled dusting and cleaning of ceiling fans and light fixtures. As needed or scheduled moving of furniture and equipment for cleaning. As needed or scheduled perform move out cleaning and prepare for next occupant. As needed or scheduled replenish supplies to rooms, bathrooms and common areas. As needed or scheduled stocks supplies to cart, individual work areas and buildings. Daily and as needed interior and exterior of glass, doors, windows, blinds and pictures. Daily and scheduled cleaning of residents' personal living areas. Cottages, Apts. & W.H. Daily cleaning of campus buildings to include offices, cafeteria and other areas. Daily cleaning/sanitation of common & personal restrooms. To include entire area. Daily cleaning/sanitation of entrance/exit and surrounding areas. Daily cleaning/sanitation of high touch areas, furniture and entire accessible areas. Daily Drop off and pick up rags, mops and other linens. Daily glass cleaning, dusting, polishing of furniture and other items or areas. Daily observation and replenishing of paper products to areas as needed. Daily removal of trash and recycling to designated dumpsters and/or bins. Daily total floor care to include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping or scrubbing. Documents housekeeping/annual work orders. Turned in daily or weekly. Follows safety standards, universal precautions and infection control standards. Follows schedule, daily task sheets, annual and housekeeping work order forms. Meets the minimum requirements of the position. Observes and reports anything out of ordinary and any insect, bug or rodent presence. Operation and correct usage of cart, equipment and supplies. Participates in extra duties as assigned or initiated. Utilizes personal protective equipment and supplies as needed.
Duties and Tasks:
Follows existing policies, practices and procedures. Refers questions and problems to supervisor. Identifies and reports quality concerns. Complete other reasonable duties at the discretion of management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Individuals must be able to successfully and satisfactory perform each essential duty. The requirements represent the position to include knowledge, skill, attention to detail and initiative. WORK EXPERIENCE
Housekeeping duties experience Preferred SKILLS Applies basic skills and procedures appropriate for the position within assigned functional area. Acquires job skills to perform routine tasks. Required Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents and other employees of the organization. Required Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions in recipes and production charts. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Required
