Hiring a full-time, live-out Private Estate Housekeeper / Laundress.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 40 hours per week with a 30-minute meal period. Occasional pre-approved early, late, weekend, or holiday coverage may be requested for guests, events, or urgent estate needs.
Pay:
$30 per hour
Benefits:
Access to health insurance, dental, PTO, and paid holidays This is a hands-on private-service role. You will keep the estate interior clean, orderly, and guest-ready, and you will handle laundry, linens, and wardrobe care to a five-star standard. Work is directed by the Estate Manager through the Housekeeping Plan, daily priorities, and zone schedules. Preservation, accuracy, consistency, and discretion come before speed. What you will do
  • Daily refresh and detailed cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing areas, kitchens, common areas, offices, guest spaces, and service areas.
  • Make and refresh beds, change linens on schedule, and clean bathrooms and surfaces with the approved method for each material.
  • Keep assigned rooms, closets, and storage in order. Do not reorganize a Principal's personal area without approval.
  • Weekly zone cleaning, deep cleaning, seasonal work, and assigned projects.
  • Full-service laundry and linen care: sort, inspect, wash, hand wash, spot treat, dry, iron, press, steam, fold, hang, and store.
  • Escalate uncertain care instructions. Do not use bleach, solvents, or aggressive treatment unless that method is approved for the item.
  • Coordinate dry cleaning, alterations, and specialty textile service as assigned.
  • Closet and dressing-area upkeep, including seasonal rotation and packing or unpacking when assigned.
  • Guest-suite setup, stay-over service, and turndown when assigned. Reset rooms after departure.
  • Light household and dining service when assigned and trained.
  • Track supplies, linen pars, and equipment. Request replenishment early. Purchases need approval.
  • Report damage, water, safety issues, missing items, and unusual conditions immediately. Do not attempt unauthorized repairs.
  • Use only estate-approved products and methods. Do not move or clean artwork, antiquities, collection objects, frescoes, or display-case interiors unless the task is assigned and the procedure is provided. What we require
  • At least five years of recent, verifiable experience in a staffed private estate, formal private residence, luxury yacht, or five-star hospitality environment. Large-residence experience is strongly preferred.
  • Estate-level housekeeping skill and advanced laundry and wardrobe care.
  • Working fluency in English and Spanish for instructions, procedures, labels, and digital task lists.
  • Excellent professional references and a record of reliability and discretion.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Background check, reference check, and confidentiality agreement required.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation. Estate errands may be assigned.
  • Comfort using a smartphone or tablet for checklists and work communication.
  • Professional, fragrance-neutral presentation and willingness to follow estate uniform standards.
Physical requirements Stand and walk for extended periods; climb stairs; bend, kneel, squat, and reach overhead. Lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Push and pull carts, vacuums, and laundry bins. This role does not diagnose or repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, aquarium, or collection systems.
