Housekeeper/Laundry Overview:

We are seeking a Part-time, reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry to join our team. As a Housekeeper/Laundry, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in our nursing home and in Independent Living Houses/Apartments. This position is 40 hours per week and every other weekend.

Duties:

Execute day to day housekeeping assignments efficiently and effectively in compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Perform isolation cleaning and discard of refuse in appropriate containers. Clean laundry or fold clothes as required. Work with maintenance department in the deep cleaning that will be done annually to Thames Edge. Discard trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles. Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies are properly stored at all times to limit risk of injury. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.

Requirements:

Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time. Must have a valid driver's license. Please note that this position may require working weekends and holidays.
