Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the tool room, ensuring the proper storage, inventory control, and maintenance of tools and equipment essential for our custom fabrication shop, and support various departments with timely access to tools and hardware. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence in a fast-paced environment where safety, organization, and precision are paramount. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records ensuring all tools and Hardware are properly tracked and accounted for Coordinate with our Purchasing Agent to facilitate sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities for tools, parts, and equipment. Conduct regular inspections of tools and equipment for mechanical issues or repair needs; coordinate equipment repair or maintenance as necessary. Implement inventory control procedures to prevent loss or theft; perform cycle counts and stock audits routinely. Provide shop support by assisting internal teams with tool requests or technical support related to our fabrication/manufacturing departments Strong understanding of procurement management processes including sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, and demand planning. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across departments. Experience working in a carpentry/iron shop environment is highly desirable.
