Job Description

The purpose of the Deep Clean Room Attendant role is to restore and maintain guest rooms at a higher standard than daily service by addressing accumulated wear, buildup, and hard-to-reach areas. This position supports asset preservation, guest satisfaction, and overall cleanliness excellence across the property. This role operates under the guidance of the Deep Clean Lead or housekeeping leadership and may work independently or as part of a dedicated deep cleaning team.
Essential Functions:
Perform comprehensive deep cleaning of guest rooms and cabins according to established checklists Clean areas not typically addressed during daily service, including but not limited to: Baseboards, vents, light fixtures, and behind furniture Mattress rotations, bed frames, headboards, and under-bed areas Grout, tile, shower doors, drains, and bathroom fixtures Remove buildup, scale, mildew, and stains from tubs, showers, sinks and toilets Detail tile, grout, mirrors and vents Sanitize all bathroom surfaces according to safety and sanitation standards Deep clean and detail furniture, upholstery and hard surfaces Spot clean walls, carpets and fabrics as needed Rotate mattresses per established procedures Report damaged or worn items for repair or replacement Replace bed skirts, mattress pads, blankets Follow detailed deep cleaning checklists and procedures consistently Ensure rooms meet resort cleanliness standards before release Conduct self-inspections and correct deficiencies before final inspection Take pride in thoroughness, accuracy, and attention to detail Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely and correctly Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly Communicate progress and completion status to the Deep Clean Lead or Supervisor Document completed deep clean tasks as required Assist with standard room attendant duties when needed during high occupancy Support special projects, seasonal deep cleans, renovations, or pre-opening efforts Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage and work areas Baseboards, vents, light fixtures, and behind furniture Mattress rotations, bed frames, headboards, and under-bed areas Grout, tile, shower doors, drains, and bathroom fixtures
Education:
No formal education required.
Experience:
Prior housekeeping experience desired.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Ability to meet standards of appearance. Ability to communicate well with guests.
