SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", the responsibilities of this position include cleaning and maintaining all public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include the following; While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, Management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different functions to be performed when circumstances change or exigencies require (this includes but is not limited to emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments).
  • Second Shift Schedule
  • Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urn receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
  • Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations to include but not limited to, hallways, elevators, service and vending areas, stairwells, etc.
  • Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from the service areas and take to the appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
  • Aid section housekeepers with bed boards, roll-away beds, additional linen, etc.
  • Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems/complaints to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Report any missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
  • Turn in all articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor to be logged in Lost and Found.
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies to protect and preserve hotel property.
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to co-workers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members and staff. English is required for oral and written communications (bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee constantly is required to push a loaded supply cart. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position requires prolonged hand and wrist movement/usage. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
