SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", this position provides a high level of quality standards for each guest room and ensures guest satisfaction while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include the following; While this is intended to be an accurate reflection of the current job, Management reserves the right to revise the job or to require that other or different functions to be performed when circumstances change or exigencies require (this includes but is not limited to emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments)
- Clean and re-stock all areas of the guest room, per established quality standards, using a vacuum, broom, and department-issued cleaning chemicals, as follows: o Clean checkouts at a 33 minute per room pace.
o Clean stayovers at a 24 minute per room pace. o Address guest complaints and/or requests with professionalism and patience within a ten (10) minute time frame. o Accurately follow the workflow provided by the housekeeping leaders to complete the daily assignment and production standards, which can range from 12 up to 17 rooms per eight (8) hour shift. o Report maintenance issues immediately. o Move and arrange furniture per established standards. o Keep cart well-stocked, tidy, and clear of unapproved items. o Attend all mandatory departmental meetings. o Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list per the established quality standards. o Communicate effectively and timely with floor supervisors and housemen on specific needs and report progress. o Report any and all damage to team leader or manager. o Report to team leader or manager any personal property left by guests and turn in said items to the team leader or manager. o Clean all guest rooms on daily assignment within allotted time and within established quality standards. o Make beds and clean all areas of bathrooms as per established quality standards. o Use and maintain equipment properly and safely. o Maintain assigned area, including but not exclusively, hallways, windows, elevator landings and guest room as per established safety and quality standards. o Perform deep cleaning as assigned. o Maintain linen properly and as per established quality standards. o Maintain guest rooms to standards set by management. o Protect hotel assets at all times. o Report guest violations of established policies on a timely basis.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); related experience preferred.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must remain professional, responsive and cooperative at all times and consistently produce quality work while meeting deadlines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to co-workers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Management, Staff and guests. English is required for oral and written communications (bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to bend, twist, and kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This position requires prolonged hand and wrist movement/usage. The employee must occasionally push and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration due to cleaning equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee and Supervisor have reviewed the above job description and determined that it accurately reflects the position.
