Job Summary The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest accommodation throughout Hotel Effie at Sandestin. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that guests experience the highest level of hospitality and comfort. Room Attendants service units across the entire resort property, requiring travel between locations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and service guest rooms according to Hotel standards. Replace linens, make beds, and restock towels, toiletries, and amenities. Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and remove trash from units. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Inspect rooms for damage, missing items, or maintenance needs and report issues to management. Ensure all assigned rooms meet quality expectations before guest check-in. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests and team members. Follow all safety and sanitation policies, including handling cleaning chemicals properly. Transport cleaning supplies and linens to various units across the resort. Assist with deep cleaning projects and special housekeeping tasks as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50+ lbs frequently, such as when moving housekeeping carts, lifting mattresses, and handling linen bundles. Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for an entire shift (typically 6-8 hours ). Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead to clean high and low surfaces. Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, humidity, and various weather conditions when moving between units. Ability to climb stairs and navigate various resort buildings, as some properties do not have elevators. Must be able to grasp, handle, and manipulate cleaning tools and equipment, such as vacuums, mops, and brooms. Ability to communicate effectively and respond to guest requests. Qualifications & Skills Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently and efficiently while meeting time expectations. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts based on resort needs. Work Environment This position requires working in a variety of resort accommodations across Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, including guest rooms, condos, and villas.
