Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites Orange Park FL Assist with Evening Houseman and Light Maintenance utility work inside and outside of hotel. Ideal work schedule would be Tuesday through Saturday evenings 2pm until 10pm

Essential Functions:

Responds in a courteous manner to all guests' questions, complaints or requests. Responsible for the parking lot and grounds upkeep. Responsible for trash removal Responsible for Supply stocking Must be able to change light bulbs, paint, clean and complete small repairs. Work shifts may be changed accordingly to the needs of the Housekeeping and Maintenance Department. Complies with the properties policies and procedures. Performs other services or duties as requested by the Department Heads and/ or General Manager. Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability Communication Excellent consultative skills with high degree of diplomacy. Must display strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to guests and team members. Appearance/Grooming Team Members must present themselves in a professional manner at all times. Grooming standards are stated in the team member handbook. Reasoning Ability Team Members have the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations and the ability to address customer personalities in various business situations. Creativity Ability to be innovative and identify opportunities for improvement and problem resolution in a diverse and complex business environment. Experience Previous experience in hotels preferred but not required. Ability to do general utility work, pressure washing, cleaning.

Physical:

Must be able to carry, lift and climb ladders. Must be able to work in all types of inclement weather. Must be able to lift heavy objects. Must be able to work in a fast steady motion. Must be able to sit, stand, bend and kneel. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to move quickly from room to room. Aides Maintenance with small repairs in rooms and around property. Returns equipment and supplies to the proper storage areas. Follows proper safety, security and hospitality procedures. Must be reliable and have reliable transportation Hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience.
