Duties Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms in accordance with healthcare standards Use proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning carts, following safe lifting practices Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and high-touch areas to prevent infection transmission in compliance with healthcare infection prevention protocols Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools Follow environmental services procedures to ensure proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines Support overall facility cleanliness by performing routine inspections and reporting maintenance or safety concerns promptly Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or similar environments preferred Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and infection control practices specific to healthcare settings Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all safety protocol adherence guidelines Experience with laundry operations within healthcare or hospitality environments is desirable Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward patients, staff, and visitors Familiarity with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning is a plus Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety procedures related to chemical handling and environmental services Join us in creating a clean and safe healthcare environment!
