Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Houseperson, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a pristine, welcoming environment for our guests. In this vital role, you will support the housekeeping department by maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the hotel. Your proactive approach and dedication will ensure guest satisfaction and uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality operations while contributing to a positive guest experience. Duties Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of public areas, hallways, and service corridors to ensure a spotless environment. Handle chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures for cleaning supplies. Perform manual handling tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, and linens with proper technique to prevent injury. Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure guest and staff safety in all situations. Engage in industrial cleaning and custodial tasks that require heavy lifting or use of specialized equipment when necessary. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or industrial setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices enhances your ability to support the team effectively. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling, heavy lifting, and floor care is highly valued. Experience with hotel emergency procedures ensures you can respond swiftly and appropriately during critical moments. A background in hospitality or hotel experience demonstrates your understanding of guest service standards and operational needs.
