In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and laundry facilities. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to meet high standards of hygiene. Handle all laundry operations efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and guest clothing with care. Use appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and chemical agents to ensure effective cleaning while adhering to safety protocols. Manage chemical handling safely by following safety data sheets (SDS), proper storage procedures, and using personal protective equipment. Maintain sanitation standards in public areas like lobbies, restrooms, poolside facilities, and staff quarters through routine janitorial practices. Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks such as inventory control of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment is preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and hotel experience is advantageous. Knowledge of sanitation standards, floor cleaning techniques, and the use of cleaning equipment is essential. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving supplies or linens. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude to enhance guest satisfaction. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations.
