Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle laundry processes efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces through routine janitorial tasks like sweeping, mopping, and sanitation. Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively to ensure optimal floor care and industrial cleaning standards. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety. Manage heavy lifting tasks when handling linen carts or cleaning supplies with proper manual handling techniques. Ensure all sanitation practices comply with hotel housekeeping management protocols and health regulations. Requirements Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and specialized floor care procedures. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures. Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with laundry carts or cleaning equipment. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively during safety incidents. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness.
